We are done!
We finished! With the help of many and a final 36 hour push we wrapped up the cleaning, decorating, installing...
Oh my! I cannot believe we are finally done. It has been three months since we broke ground and I don't think I have stopped working since. It has been a labor of love and we are definitely pleased with the results. We totally accomplished what we set out to do and I am pretty sure I should go into interior design. The home is fully accessible with a seamless flow of access from one user to the next. The interior is delicate and crisp. The house is so inviting and we cannot wait to move in.
We really want to thank everyone who helped us in the final push. The ironing alone took hours! Thank you to Betsy Wolfe for staying really late the night before ironing all of our curtains. Our dear friend Edel pretty much helped us every waking hour the week before Saturday. She watched our three girls, along with her four children, during the day and came nights to clean and iron. She was my life saver this week. We also want to thank my family for coming from the Chicago and Milwaukee area and doing as I commanded! Thankfully none of my family and friends have disowned me!
Thank you to everyone who has helped in big and small ways throughout this process - we look forward to having you all over to see the beautiful results. By the grace of God we have accomplished so much and it is a blessing and an amazing gift to welcome Sam and our family into this new healthy home. I have worked so hard on this project because I cannot heal Sam, but I will do anything to make the healing process a little better. Welcome home Sam!
